The Day Has Finally Come!

Today I purchased my very first Warm Sugar doll! I have loved these dolls since the very first time I saw them on another blog a couple of years ago when the shop was still called Project Grab Bag. I really wanted to get one of the bigger dolls but they aren't really for young babies and Gwen here is just the right size for Rory. I just can't wait to receive her! All Warm Sugar dolls come with a birth certificate of sorts and you can even have one custom made and purchase little accessories to dress her in.

Meet Gwen!

I can't wait to get a big one for Rory and I might even get one for myself to live in my craft area and give me inspiration.

Lots of Love

Little miss Rory is certainly loved. Today we received another package in the mail, this time from auntie Lola (my sister). This gift package had a Janie and Jack sweater for Rory and three little Vera Bradley compact mirrors for me, my mom and my aunt (I chose the little green one), and Baby Laughs which is supposed to be a funny book about motherhood. My sister works for Vera Bradley and has provided the family with quite the collection of their goods. Of course, no one is complaining about that!

I feel so spoiled receiving two packages in the last two days. Keep them coming!!!

Thank heaven...

for auntie's that knit! Or else our little tootsie toes would be frozen on this chilly winter day. Today Rory and I received a package (I love receiving things in the mail!) from my aunt with some knit booties and a sweater, handmade soap, an article from the newspaper and a little note. It may sound corny but stuff like this just makes my day.

Announcements

I just had to share this with everyone. My master card maker (mother-in-law) has created yet another amazing piece.

She thought of everything...the card insterted on the cover can be removed and used as a keepsake. Just adorable!!!

If you are wondering why you haven't received one, don't fret, I am sending them out today. You will have yours soon I promise!

February = Valentine's Day

And I love valentine's day! So to celebrate I've been making cards (for sale in my etsy shop) and planning my special valentine gifts for darling husband and darling daughter. It will be another homemade holiday for us.

my beautiful baby!

Rory Elizabeth was born on December 16th at 11:54 a.m. She was 6lbs 13oz and 20 3/4 inches long.

I had every intension of keeping up on my blog but I have learned that it isn't so easy to find the time right now. As soon as I am healed (I had a c-section) and Rory and I establish a better routine I do hope to be a more consistant blogger.

For now just know that I am happy and in love and couldn't imagine doing anything but being with my baby girl and my husband. Neither of us have ever felt these feelings before and we are loving it! Rory is an amazing addition to our lives!

On another note, the theme song to the office makes me really happy!
