I am back!

Well, I made it through my crazy summer! My summer job has ended, I've gotten through the worst of the tennis rush, the craft fair was a success, vacation has come and gone and I have finally gotten all moved in (for the most part) to our new place. So now what? A super huge shop update!!!!

This week I will be adding a ton of new items to my shop, you have not seen these yet (well you have Erin, but I even have a few surprises for you too!) and I am so very excited to share everything with you all. And to round things out and as a little welcome back to the blogging world, I'll be giving away a super cute little necklace at either the end of this week or the beginning of next week, so be sure to keep checking back as you will want to win this one.

Now that I have cleared most of my plate and I am only working on weekends, I will be blogging more frequently again. I am going to do my best to bring back some of the fun weekly's I posted like "Favorite Finds" and maybe even throw in a few more giveaways. If you would like to giveaway one of your treasures on My Lazy Apples please contact me and as a thank you I will post your banner or ad in my sidebar for an entire month. That's right, practically free advertising!!!! Contact me with any questions!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

and another treasury...or two!

Wow, this must be my lucky week! I have been featured in three treasuries!  Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that has been kind enough to consider my jewelry a treasure!

This one was posted a couple of days ago.

And this was posted a few days before the above one.

oh my...

As I entered the living room yesterday I noticed that Rory was holding something in her hand as she scooted around in circles in her walker. As I neared I realized what she had.

Yup, that would be my bra. I don't know how she got it, it was in my bedroom. After the initial shock I found it to be rather funny.

And can you even believe that she turned 8 months old yesterday!?! I can't!!! She is such a big girl now!

Refreshed

I have been sooo very stressed out lately between the craft fair, packing, moving and everything else that has consumed my time, I needed to relax. One thing that has been driving me absolutely crazy is my hair. Have you ever felt like you would just rip it out if you didn't get it cut right then and there? Well I've felt that way for weeks now. I found a salon in Northampton that was such a treat. They massage your scalp and your shoulders and while your hair is being cut someone massages your hands. I totally needed this, as well as the glass of wine they provided me with. Oh but the very best part was chopping off my hair (pictured above, front and back). What do you think?

Another thing that I have been a little stressed about was the vacation I planned several weeks ago, which just so happened to be right in the middle of our move. But it was just what I needed to refresh and now I feel like I can get back to work. Rory, my mother and I all went to visit my aunt out near Boston. We went to Rockport, Glaucester, Newbury Port, Salem and Providence, RI. It was so great to be near the ocean again. I always feel so inspired by the coast, I should really live there...maybe in time.

I'll share the pictures and some more details from our little trip sometime in the coming days. For now, I am back to unpacking. Our bed and kitchen table are being delivered today and not a moment too soon. My cat popped the air mattress, while we were sleeping on it, and TJ and I have been sleeping on our new couch since. Good thing we got a big one!

the moving diaries

Oh moving, you are such a wonderful thought, appealing, enticing daydreams of painting, new furniture and decor. And the excitement, oh the excitement of a new place. Starting new, getting organized, cleaning up...all sounds so wonderful...until, you have to do it. It has been a little while since I've moved, and the same thing happens every time. I get totally excited but then I realize I have to pack, haul my life's collections over an hour away and then unpack. I have to go through every box and file I have been stuffing full of the items I would rather just forget about or have no idea where to put in the first place. And oh the things i could go on about, but I don't have to, cause we have all been there.

Well we got the apartment that we wanted and we started moving in on Wednesday. I was thinking we would take our time, move things out here and there around work and vacation and everything else. But right now I am sitting in my new living room in the only chair we have here, sitting in front of the only piece of furniture we brought (a desk, oh we did bring the changing table too but that doesn't do me much good) while getting ready to go to bed on my blow-up mattress. We realize now that we need to rent a truck and get this done asap. oh we were so silly to think we could do this move is small loads.

Tomorrow we are off to shop for a couch, not because we don't have one, we actually have a very nice couch that I love, but it does not fit through our door (boo).  So does anyone want to buy a couch? We have a very nice mattress that is still at the other house and if that doesn't fit through the door I'm giving up and moving back home. It is the greatest mattress ever and isn't worth leaving!

I'm exhausted and heading to bed, that is if I can sleep, it's Rory's first night in her own room and I'm not used to having her so far away. I even went out and got a video monitor! hehe!
